The Asheboro Blue Comets’ girls basketball team won the 3A Eastern Regional Final at Northwood High School over the host Chargers on Tuesday night. The Blue Comets never trailed during the game and won 54-44. Asheboro will take on Jesse Carson High School in Saturday’s 3A State Championship game.
