Redskins’ Guice jokes with young NFL wannabe at training camp

RICHMOND – Redskins running back Derrius Guice had some fun with a middle school NFL wannabe who is at least as big as he is.

At training camp in Richmond, an excitable mother, who was chastised for not letting her son get a word in edgewise, approached the accommodating Guice and told him her son played football too.

Guice struck a what-you-got pose and, along with a security guard, had some fun with him before posing for a picture – taken by his mom of course. Check out this short video by clicking here.

Guice joked with him about not liking defensive players who might hit him but the second-year player, who sat out last season with an injury sustained in a preseason game, would likely be a 10-year pro before this young man could tackle him in an NFL game.

Guice, along with Dwayne Haskins, has gotten the reputation of interacting with fans at camp long after most have gone to the dressing room. On this day, Guice had signed so many autographs in the morning that he begged off signing in the afternoon but he talked with fans and posed with everyone who wanted a photo.
