{"id":18,"date":"2010-06-01T18:53:00","date_gmt":"2010-06-02T01:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/capitalsports.us\/?p=18"},"modified":"2010-06-01T18:53:00","modified_gmt":"2010-06-02T01:53:00","slug":"classy-danowski-deserves-this-title-at-duke","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/capitalsportsnc.com\/?p=18","title":{"rendered":"Classy Danowski deserves this title at Duke"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Say what you want about the Duke lacrosse team in light of the 2006 allegations, but this much is true \u2013 current coach John Danowski exudes class, and you can\u2019t help but admire what Danowski and his club accomplished with Monday\u2019s national title.<\/p>\n<p>In hindsight, it\u2019s easy to see how former coach Mike Pressler was treated unfairly when Duke forced him out in that aborted season. <\/p>\n<p>Duke responded with an amazing hire when it brought in Danowski from Hofstra. Danowski not only knows the game, he knows how to recruit and he knew how to handle a scandal of hard to fathom proportions.
