With Virginia leading Miami 2-0 in the ACC baseball tournament, the skies opened up and the entire field was flooded with water. Amazingly, the field&#8217;s drainage and the grounds crew allowed the game to be resumed before nightfall.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at the attached picture which shows the stadium in the afternoon. How could that field be playable within a very few hours? If you watched any of the conclusion of the game Friday night, which ended with a Virginia 6-4 victory, you hardly even saw any ill effects of the massive rain.<\/p>\n<p>About six inches of rain fell in a short period of time to flood parts of Durham and Chapel Hill. Kudos to the Bulls for creating such a facility and to the grounds crew that prepared the field for play.
