{"id":59,"date":"2010-07-07T20:52:00","date_gmt":"2010-07-08T03:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/capitalsports.us\/?p=59"},"modified":"2011-01-15T15:16:55","modified_gmt":"2011-01-15T20:16:55","slug":"veteran-corvo-back-with-hurricanes-back-in-raleigh-permanently","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/capitalsportsnc.com\/?p=59","title":{"rendered":"Veteran Corvo back with Hurricanes, back in Raleigh permanently"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cdn.nhl.com\/hurricanes\/v2\/photos\/mugs\/8466215.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 100px; height: 150px;\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.nhl.com\/hurricanes\/v2\/photos\/mugs\/8466215.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>Joe Corvo, who was traded to Washington late last season, is back with the Carolina Hurricanes, adding experience to a team that has gotten significantly younger.<\/p>\n<p>Corvo, a 33-year-old defenseman, is expected to be paired on the ice with defenseman Tim Gleason.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My family is really comfortable here, and I\u2019m really comfortable with the coaching staff and what goes on here,\u201d said Corvo, whose family, including two young sons, stayed in Raleigh after he was traded to the Capitals. <\/p>\n<p>He said that he plans to make his home in Raleigh permanent. \u201dWhen I first got here we bought a house with that the thought that it was going to be temporary, but we had the talk that we were going to stay here until after I retired,\u201d Corvo said. \u201cYou can\u2019t go wrong with the weather, the schools and the golf.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Triangle area has become an asset for the Hurricanes in acquiring established veteran players looking to settle down.
