\u201cIt should be a lot of fun,” UNC coach Larry Fedora said. “It doesn\u2019t matter what\u2019s going on that is definitely disappointing. But it\u2019s not going to take any luster off of what we do Thursday night. We\u2019re focusing on the next game and we can\u2019t worry about what\u2019s happened in the past. We have to learn from the mistakes, the corrections that we\u2019ve made and just move on.\u201d<\/p>\n

This will be Fedora’s first night game in Chapel Hill as coach of the Heels.<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s always fun when you turn the lights on, you want to play under the lights,” Fedora said. “The whole thing around Thursday night football now, I mean it\u2019s kind of the thing to do. People go home when they get off work and they watch Thursday night football and it\u2019s college football. All eyes are on you. It should be a lot of fun. I think our guys are jacked up and excited about playing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fedora hasn’t talked to his team about any remaining goals this season. “The only goal that we\u2019re focused on right now is being 1-0. That\u2019s it, just 1-0.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryn Renner will be back at QB.<\/p>\n

Black uniforms<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carolina’s all-black uniform is the first installment of the \u201cTar Pit Series,\u201d which will feature an alternate
\nuniform or helmet for one game each year. This year\u2019s alternate uniform color has been taken from
\nthe black tar in the Tar Heel logo.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to design a uniform that connected our team to The Tar Pit, our name for the student section,\u201d Fedora said. \u201cMake no mistake, Carolina Blue and white will always be our traditional colors. It made sense to have a black-out game this year after the success of last season\u2019s white-out game vs. Virginia Tech (a 48-34 UNC victory).”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
