UNC men’s soccer, behind Slovakian, shuts out Memphis to advance in playoffs
North Carolina (11-3-6) came in as a significant favorite and looked the part early, when Martin Vician headed home a cross for a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute. The Slovakian scored again early in the second half and the Heels went on to a 2-0 win. Click here for video highlights.

Duke Drops NCAA Second-Round Match to Western Michigan
The Duke men’s soccer team fell, 2-1, to Western Michigan in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium. Top-ranked North Carolina Field Hockey beat No. 2 Northwestern, 2-1, in a shootout on Sunday afternoon in a thrilling NCAA championship game at Karen Shelton Stadium. Armstrong lifts NC State to 35-28 win over Virginia Tech
Brennan Armstrong threw two touchdown passes and rushed for two scores to lead North Carolina State to a 35-28 victory over Virginia Tech on Saturday. Armstrong accounted for 292 yards for the Wolfpack (8-3, 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who scored touchdowns on five consecutive possessions spanning both halves and never trailed in winning their fourth consecutive game.
