UNC baseball tops LSU in extra innings to advance to Super Regional

North Carolina (45-14) emerged victorious over defending champions LSU (43-23) in a hard-fought game, winning 4-3 in 10 innings. With two outs in the top of the 10th, UNC’s Johnny Castagnozzi drove a deep fly ball to right field that was misplayed by Tiger outfielder Jake Brown, putting the go-ahead run in scoring position.
