The No. 3 ranked Virginia Cavaliers, 18-1, advanced to Sunday’s ACC championship match with a 2-0 win over No. 2 ranked North Carolina, 12-2-1, in Friday night’s ACC women’s soccer semifinals in Greensboro. UVa will face top-seeded Florida State, who beat Notre Dame 3-1 in Friday’s other semifinal.
That’s a rematch of UVa’s only loss this season, a 1-0 FSU win in Tallahassee on September 28.
