In a packed house befitting a Top 25 Tobacco Road rivalry showdown, No. 5 NC State women’s basketball defeated No. 24 North Carolina 63-59 on Thursday night in Reynolds Coliseum. NC State in regroup mode after 3-game skid
NC State has lost its last three games and could be in need of a reset. The Wolfpack, who are 5-4 in the ACC, have lost the last three games — at Syracuse, at Virginia and vs. Virginia Tech. Athens Drive’s Valyo named boys cross country Player of the Year
Noah Valyo, who has signed with N.C. State to run next fall, did not lose to a single in-state runner during his senior season. Virginia Beats The Wolfpack in Overtime 59-53
The NC State men’s basketball made a valiant second half comeback, overcoming a 14-point deficit to force overtime, but fell to Virginia in the extra five minutes, 59-53, Wednesday night inside John Paul Jones Arena. The Pack trailed 35-21 early in the second half and still was down 37-25 with under 12 minutes to play when NC State started its comeback. Please click here for more.
NC State’s MJ Rice to Sit out the Remainder of the Season
Prior to the Wolfpack’s road game against Virginia, NC State just sent out a press release stating that Sophomore MJ Rice will sit out the remainder of the season, and that the school will submit a waiver for this season to count as a redshirt season. Please click here for more.
ACC unveils complete 2024 football schedule
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its 2024 football schedule – the first under a new scheduling model with 17 total teams – Wednesday night during a two-hour special ACC Huddle: 2024 Football Schedule Release Show on ACC Network and simulcast on ESPN2. The 72nd season of ACC Football is the first under a new seven-year scheduling model announced last October that runs from 2024 through 2030. Each team will play eight conference games per season.
