Conventional wisdom didn’t hold with UNC’s Davis, Trimble

Most “experts” thought that Seth Trimble deciding to leave UNC meant that RJ Davis was coming back but once Trimble rescinded the transfer portal declaration and chose to return to Carolina, the same experts said that probably meant Davis was leaving the Tar Heels. Also, Davis’ girlfriend entering the transfer portal furthered that speculation. Well, the conventional wisdom didn’t hold as both Davis and Trimble will be returning. The “let’s get the gang back and try again” mentality has led to speculation that Harrison Ingram may change his mind about turning pro and give it another year at Carolina in an effort to win a national championship and get more experience in order to move up in the NBA draft. Conventional wisdom hasn’t really held yet so don’t expect Ingram to return but if he did, UNC would immediately become a favorite to win the national championship next year. No matter who comes back, it takes a lot of good fortune to win a national championship but no doubt the team would be good. Please click here and here to learn more.
