East-West All-Star Football Game moved to Saturday due to inclement weather
The N.C. Coaches Association has made the decision to the move the East-West All-Star Football Game due to inclement weather in the forecast for Sunday. According to the NCCA, the all-star game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. at Grimsley High School in Greensboro. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday. Wakefield searching for a head football coach for the second year in a row
Wakefield High School head football coach Justin Allred confirmed with HighSchoolOT that he will not return to lead the Wolverines’ program. Allred is looking to take his career into a different industry. The Wolverines brought Allred aboard last offseason after he led Jordan High School in Durham on a run to the third round of the 2022 N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A state playoffs. Hoggard thrashes Cardinal Gibbons to win football east regionals
In a battle of 4A heavyweights, you might say (3) Hoggard claimed the regional championship belt via TKO on Friday. The Vikings rattled off 34 straights points against (5) Cardinal Gibbons, as they cruised to a 41-20 win. They are on the way to their first state title game since winning it all in 2007.
