The N.C. Coaches Association has made the decision to the move the East-West All-Star Football Game due to inclement weather in the forecast for Sunday. According to the NCCA, the all-star game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. at Grimsley High School in Greensboro. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday. Wakefield High School head football coach Justin Allred confirmed with HighSchoolOT that he will not return to lead the Wolverines’ program. Allred is looking to take his career into a different industry. The Wolverines brought Allred aboard last offseason after he led Jordan High School in Durham on a run to the third round of the 2022 N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A state playoffs.
