Northwest Guilford fell short of playing for the 4A volleyball state championship in 2019, but only lost three matches and those came versus quality opponents. The Vikings were able to notch an overall record of 26-3 and that includes going 8-0 in Metro 4A Conference play. Northwest fell twice to Ardrey Kell and once to Wheatmore. The combined records for those two varsity programs a season ago was 52-9 — both played for the regional championship at their respective classification last fall. …read more
