Former NC State basketball players sue NCAA, hoping to gain extra year of eligibility

A new NCAA rule allows athletes to compete for five seasons, but those who exhausted their eligibility in the 2025-26 academic year aren’t eligible. More than 50 players have filed a lawsuit in North Carolina state court.
