Last week I likened the Atlantic Coast Conference basketball chase to the final furlongs of a great horse race. This week, the ACC’s epic 2017 showdown more nearly resembles a cycling road race, where after weeks of watching a very crowded peloton, we now are seeing the beginning of a three team breakaway.
