The No. 5 Duke women’s basketball team clobbered No. 11 North Carolina from the start embarrassing the Tar Heels 84-63 as their coach Sylvia Hatchell was going for her 900th win.
Chloe Wells, making just her fourth start, had six three pointers for the Blue Devils, who led 51-19 at the half.
Duke, now 20-1 and 10-0 in the ACC, shot 56 percent.
North Carolina, now 20-3 and 8-2 in the league, look to get Hatchell’s milestone win Thursday night at home against Boston College.
