Two power play goals, twenty minutes in penalties, an overtime goal and TWO FIGHTS. Who kidnapped the Hurricanes and replaced them with the 1980s Philadelphia Flyers? Call them the Hillsborough Street Bullies, I guess. Noah Hanifin scored the game-winner with 2 seconds left in overtime and dropped the gloves for his first NHL fight as the Canes beat the Panthers 3-2 in OT. It was a much needed win as the Hurricanes will spend the next six games and two weeks on the road. Jeff Skinner and Elias Lindholm also scored and Cam Ward made 37 saves in the win. …read more
