dukestateunc2Duke redshirt sophomore safety Jeremy Cash (Miami, Fla./Plantation) has made a significant impact in his first season as a Blue Devil, leading the ACC in both tackles (51) and tackles per game (10.2). Last week, Cash, who transferred from Ohio State following the 2011 season and sat out last year’s campaign, earned ACC Player of the
Week honors after posting 14 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and the first interception of his career in Duke’s 38-31 victory over Troy. On the year, Cash has 51 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, two pass breakups, one caused fumble and one interception to his credit.

North Carolina senior QB Bryn Renner (West Springfield, Va.) leads the ACC and ranks 24th in the country, averaging 279.3 yards passing per game. Renner has seven touchdown passes this year and is in second place on the all-time UNC career chart with 61. Darian Durant is the career leader with 68.

The NC State Wolfpack won’t have to wander very far from its home den during the 2013 football season, as NC State is playing eight games in Carter-Finley Stadium and two others in the state of North Carolina. The Pack won’t have to play a game outside of its home state until Oct. 26, when the squad heads to Florida State.
