It’s been a heady few years for the United Soccer League. Left reeling following a schism in 2010 that bore the insurgent North American Soccer League, USL winnowed down to just 12 teams in 2013 occupying the third division of American professional soccer. This year, USL supplanted NASL as the sole sanctioned U.S. second division pro league.
