Hillside was the lone school in the N.C. High School Athletic Association to move up in classification — from 3A to 4A — during the midpoint of the four-year realignment period. Hillside’s success in 4A from 2005-2016 included 10 conference titles, seven 10-win seasons, and the 2010 4A state championship, while the last two years in 3A only netted a 14-10 mark without a conference title. …read more
