For the third straight game, the Carolina Hurricanes trailed entering the third period. Yet, for the third straight game, the Canes skated off with two points. Carolina scored twice on the power play to rally from a 3-1 first period hole to force overtime. Jaccob Slavin’s second goal of the season, off a pass from Jordan Staal, was the game-winner as the Hurricanes came back against former teammate Curtis McElhinney for the win to run their record to 3-0-0 on the season. …read more
