NC State bows out of Omaha with 5-4 loss to Florida

NC State is done in Omaha after falling to Florida, 5-4, in Monday’s elimination game in the College World Series. The Wolfpack gave up four runs in the second with Dom Fritton on the mound and couldn’t quite get back over the hump after taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning to end the season in the CWS. The showing marks the first time in program history the Wolfpack hasn’t won a game in a trip to Omaha. The Pack clawed back in both games, but ultimately dropped to 38-23 to close out the year. Pack bats come to play in 18-1 drubbing of Georgia in Super Regional

Every NC State batter that stepped to the plate on Saturday in Athens recorded a hit with seven of those Wolfpack hitters recording multiple hit efforts. The result was an 18-1 blowout win for State over the host Georgia Bulldogs. NC State Defeats South Carolina 6-4 to Advance to Regional Final

NC State defeated South Carolina 6-4 Saturday, earning a spot in the Raleigh Regional Finals Sunday night at 6 p.m. The Pack will play the winner of James Madison and South Carolina who play tomorrow at Noon. If the Wolfpack win, they will be one of 16 teams advance to a Super Regional. If they lose, since the Regionals are double elimination, they would play again on Monday for a final game to decide the winner of the Raleigh Regional. Please click here for more.
